Terms & Conditions – Nordigo

Effective Date: 25 August 2025

These Terms & Conditions govern all rentals made with Nordigo. By booking or using our vehicles, you agree to the following terms:

1. Rental Requirements

• Drivers must be at least 20 years old and hold a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months.
• An international driver’s license is required if your license is not in English or Icelandic.
• A valid credit card is required for deposit/security purposes.

2. Vehicle Use

• Vehicles must be used responsibly and in accordance with Icelandic traffic laws.
• Off-road driving is strictly prohibited unless otherwise stated.
• Smoking is not allowed inside the vehicle.
• Pets are allowed only with prior agreement.

3. Insurance & Liability

• All rentals include basic third-party insurance as required by Icelandic law.
• Optional insurances (CDW, SCDW, Gravel Protection, Theft Protection) may be purchased.
• The renter is responsible for damages not covered by insurance, including:
  • Off-road damage.
  • Driving into rivers or the ocean.
  • Interior damages due to negligence.

4. Payments & Deposits

• Full payment is required at the start of the rental.
• A security deposit may be held on your credit card during the rental period.
• Late returns may incur additional charges.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before pickup.
• Cancellations less than 48 hours before pickup: 50% refund.
• No-show: no refund.

6. Breakdown & Assistance

• In case of breakdown, contact Nordigo immediately.
• Roadside assistance is included within Iceland.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Icelandic law. Any disputes will be resolved in Icelandic courts.
